For those who might not be gamer nerds, today Microsoft released a new entry in its flagship series, Halo. A large release such as this on new hardware (Xbox One) is an exciting opportunity to peek under the hood and get a glimpse of the current state of the art in real time graphics.
Digital Foundry has done a fairly extensive technical breakdown of the game, detailing the results of the algorithmic choices and technical tradeoffs 343 Industries has made in order to maintain a 60Hz refresh rate.
